First thing first, I am not an expert in writing reviews (and this is the first time I am doing this type of posting, so I apologize for all those not so align or standardize photos or even the un-proper review write up for this posting and etc...), and this is more like a personal opinion after I have done some ISO testing on the Panasonic Lumix LX3, just to find out what is the maximum acceptable noise level (At least to myself) specially when taking a shoot with it. Anyway I just wanna make sure that I am familiar with the whole machine before I doing the training or pass down to LB. :"P (Hehe...)
More photos and details after the jump...
Anyway Here we go, Panasonic Lumix LX3 has the ISO level from ISO100 - ISO3200. All the shoot taken are set at 16:9. (Trying to shoot most shoot in Macro mode and see how much details that is left when the ISO started to move up). Alright here we go.
ISO100: Tha above 2 photos are shoot at ISO100 with wireless flash triggered to add some additional light to the whole subjects. (Yeah I love the details, sharpness produce by LX3 on ISO100, I think the end result is superb) ;)
Moving forward, ISO200 -ISO3200: All subjects are only shoot with available light. I just wanna see how this PnS ISO is going to deal with the available lighting within this range.
I have each photos label with the ISO settings that I used. Personally I think ISO200-800 still kinda retain the required details for the photos (and the noise level that I could accept). I think I will used the ISO1600 only on super desperate situation, and will not try to go into the ISO3200 realm if it is not required. But no matter what the focus area on both ISO1600 and ISO3200 is still retain at it sharpness and you could only notice the noise on the more dark area. (So, from a PnS perspective I think it is not bad at all) ;)
I think my next AR that I should complete on is to make this PnS like a part of my body. (Darn when you are get used to DSLR, you are going to need sometimes to pick up a PnS :"P - sound kinda not very backward compatibility at all :"P ). Anyway, for those who are interested with the larger images, you all could refer to this link.
Anyway, That's all I have for tonight. I hope you all find this not so formal ISO test is helpful for you all. Have a great night people. :)
* Yeah I have no signature on all these photos. The photos size seems to be a bit different compare to those that I normally used, so I just decided to add up all the text manually. :"P
