Burger please... ;) |
Guess I have been anticipating for Jigokudani for quite sometimes after looking at Kancil's photo album last time when he is there during the winter season. (Becuase of the Red and Blue Ghost Figures and the face changing show that they have in town). Jigokudani is a pretty nice place. Jigokudani is also known as "Hell Valley" and is a spectacular, appropriately named valley just above the town of Noboribetsu Onsen, which displays hot steam vents, sulfurous streams and other volcanic activity. But also, it also means that the trip to Japan is already come to an end when we are there. :-(
More photos after the jump...
Waking up getting our self ready for some breakfast, looks like MOS burger is our choice here since there is not much shop open that early in the morning After that, we have a walk at the mall near by before we took off to Noboribetsu on a bus.

LB said she like the train though. :") |
Finally we are at the Noboribetsu. The first thing that we noticed is the sulfuric smell when you are walking around the area. Specially you are in the jungle and near all the streams. The sulfuric is so strong that some of the trees just can't really survive there. I bet there won't be any snakes there as well. ;") We have a walk in the jungle near by where there is a small stream that you could rest your feet inside there for a warm sulfuric feet bath. :") (Yeah we give it a tried as well)

Check out the steam (you could hear the boiling sound of the water from here) ~: | |
It is approaching evening time. We have been waited for a face transformation show from the king of hell which started at 8pm. (There are schedule for the show, so do check it out at that area). The show started with some songs and then suddenly the king will change to his horrifying face. I believe the show last for 5 minutes. (A pretty short one)

*For those who are interested, the full series could be view here. ;)
Love the ray of light one:)
ReplyDeleteThanks Lilian. :")
