Meei Wen @ the Old Train Station

Portraiture Photography by Chiat Hau Photography (Meei Wen at the Butterworth Train Station)

It has been an early Sunday for me today (Although I have waked up late compare to the initial planned wake up time that I have set in my phone). I am pretty excited about this actually, because I will be able to execute a photo shoot that has been discussed and planned for so long. (At least it won't be drag like for another one year compare to the photo shoot that I have done for Tatty at the Fun Park). ;"P

More photos after the jump...

Anyway, I have discussed and planned this with Meei Wen last year and I am glad that we manage to execute it today. Although the shooting time is not very long but I am glad that we manage to get some shoots completed in the duration that we have planned for. (Yeah both of us already have an appointment back in Penang, so we will need to go back on time in order to be punctual for your appointment.)

A pretty small series which is taken at one of the abandoned train station just opposite the sugar factory at Butterworth. I initially thought about this location because of it's metal, rusty and the texture feel that are available in this place.(Yeah, I always love those feeling somehow, I don't know why). Anyway,  the shoots have been done either using a 1 light or 2 lights setup. The main light are in a softbox (with 1/4 CTO on it) and the second light is in either a bare flash or a gridded one (with a red gel on it). :)

As a closure, my deepest thanks to Meei Wen for being so professional and not even complaining even though both of us has been attack by a lot of mosquito(S) during the photo shoot and has provided all the poses that are needed. :) (As a BKM, the mosquito repellent is a must if you are shooting at this location next round). And also to Georgie and Lean Sing for providing some very good information on how to reach this location. (Thanks!). If there is a chance again, probably I will return here again for another shoot. There is still a lot of potential that could be done here. We will see how it goes. ;) Anyway, a short one, I hope that you all will enjoy this series. Have a great night and great week ahead. Signing off...:)

* For those who are interested, the full series could be view here.
